Advise on the promotion of the Civil Service's core values
The Commissioners will continue to offer advice to departments and agencies on the promotion of the Civil Service's core values and to hear and determine appeals under the Civil Service Code. They will sponsor appropriate Civil Service awards to raise awareness of the core values.
Develop appeals monitoring
The Commissioners will set up arrangements to monitor appeals within departments up to the Permanent Secretary in order to establish the volume of such appeals and any patterns of concern.
Support moves to enshrine the constitutional position of the Civil Service
The Commissioners will support moves to enshrine the constitutional position of the Civil Service and the core values which underpin its work.
